About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their team. The CFO will be a key member of the Senior Management Team, responsible for overseeing all financial strategy and operations. This includes long-term financial planning, strategic counsel, and effective financial operations for the organization and its various projects. The successful candidate will lead the finance and donor services teams, ensuring a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities also include serving as the organizational leader in all areas of finance, budget, and audit management, as well as managing the relationship with the investment manager to ensure alignment with organizational values. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have at least 15 years of nonprofit financial management experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role. The role requires a proven track record in leading finance within a nonprofit organization with multiple entities. The CFO will be expected to have excellent communication and relationship-building skills, the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders, and a strong capacity for analytical and strategic thinking. A background in managing an investment portfolio and experience with financial compliance, including c3/c4 regulations, is essential. The ideal candidate will also have an advanced degree in a relevant field, with a CPA being strongly preferred, and must demonstrate a commitment to the values of social justice, equity, and inclusion.
