  • Responsible for repair and maintenance of all manual, semi-automatic, and automatic welding equipment:
  • \n
  • Repair and maintenance of all oxygen/propane, oxygen/acetylene burning, preheat, and related equipment
  • \n
  • Repair and maintenance of all mold in place equipmentRepair and maintenance of magna drills, boring bars and related equipment
  • \n
  • Repair and maintenance of hydraulic jacks, pumps, and associated equipment
  • \n
  • Work conditions may include confined spaces
  • \n
  • Security clearance to enter all areas of the shipyard (CIA) is required
  • \n
  • Must be able to work until the end of the normal scheduled shift hours
  • \n
  • Must have the ability to distinguish between colors for the purpose of performing the job

Qualifications

Required:
    \n
  • High School Diploma, GED, be a current High School Senior, OR have 2+ years of related technical experience
  • \n
  • 1-5 years of repair and maintenance experience of all manual, semi-automatic, and automatic welding equipment
  • \n
  • Security clearance to enter all areas of the shipyard (CIA) is required
  • \n
  • Must be able to work until the end of the normal scheduled shift hours
  • \n
  • Must have the ability to distinguish between colors for the purpose of performing the job
  • \n

Preferred:
    \n
  • 3 - 5 years of experience repair and maintenance experience of all manual, semi-automatic, and automatic welding equipment
  • \n
  • 1+ years of PC background experience in parts and equipment ordering and tool tracking issues/collection
  • \n
