Job Description

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Inpatient Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week travel assignment at Providence Health and Services. The ideal candidate will support pharmacy operations in a hospital environment, including medication preparation, inventory management, and automation system use. Must be comfortable working variable shifts and floating between like units.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications
  • Perform IV admixture preparation
  • Support drug inventory and automation systems
  • Maintain storage, labeling, and packaging standards
  • Ensure compliance with formulary product lists and NDC procedures
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
  • Rotate stock, manage returns, and follow storage guidelines
  • Enter orders accurately using the required charting system

Key Requirements:

  • Must float between like units
  • Open to block scheduling at manager discretion
  • RTO must be submitted at time of application
  • Facility may call off one shift per two-week pay period
  • On-call NOT required
  • Weekend work may be required
  • Local candidates accepted
  • First-time travelers accepted
Qualifications

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Pharmacy Technician certification preferred

Experience:
Minimum of 6 months of recent inpatient pharmacy experience required
Experience with automation systems and IV admixture preferred

License:
Active and valid Pharmacy Technician license required in the state of assignment
