The Judge Group is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Salem, Virginia.

Emergency Department RN – Travel Assignment (Salem, VA)
Shift & Scheduling
- Shift Type: Night | 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Weekends Required: Four weekend shifts per four-week scheduling period
- Nights: Friday or Saturday
- Days: Saturday or Sunday
- On-Call Requirements: None
Unit Information
- Beds: 27
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 charge RN, 5 RNs, 2-3 medics; increases by 4-5 RNs at 11 AM , and 1-2 RNs at 3 PM
- Night Shift: 1 charge RN, 5 RNs, 2-3 medics
- Patient Ratios: 4-6:1
- EMR System: Meditech
Required & Preferred Qualifications
Required Experience:
- Completion of 2-3 prior travel assignments
- 2-3 years ER experience
Preferred Experience:
- High acuity ER experience
- Fast-paced ER experience with high patient volume
- Experience managing patient ratios of 5:1
Typical Procedures Performed
- Rapid sequence intubation (RSI)
- Sepsis interventions
- Stroke protocol with tPA administration
- Central line placement
- Care of psych patients
- Facility transfers (EMTALA compliance)
Required Certifications
- BLS (AHA) – Required
- ACLS (AHA) – Required
- PALS (AHA) – Required
Preferred Certifications
- TNCC – Preferred
- ENPC – Preferred
- NRP – Preferred
- NIH Stroke Certification – Preferred
