Assists in moving freight effectively, negotiating rates, tracking shipments, and identifying and resolving discrepancies. Major Tasks and Responsibilities include negotiating pricing agreements with business partners; planning and coordinating pick-up and delivery schedules; identifying and contacting qualified carriers for freight services; tracking and reporting shipment status to customers; assisting in managing multiple deliveries and processing spot requests; maintaining and building relationships with customers and business partners; updating and tracking transportation management systems keeping cross-functional teams aligned with operations; and helping resolve escalations and discrepancies in a timely manner. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, 2+ years of logistics experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse management software.
