Job Description

Parsons is seeking an amazingly talented Test Engineer to join our growing team! In this role, you will test code and scripting to integrate a satellite ground control system used by multiple mission partners. You will incorporate mission partners into the ground systems environment, including the testing of mission scripts and procedures. This will include integration code, such as functions or subroutines within a software library or program, primarily designed to invoke another subroutine or system call with minimal computation. Additionally, the testing of software or tools that facilitate the connection and integration of distinct software applications, systems, or components to ensure seamless interoperability. Design and implement software performance testing procedures and scripts. Collect, review, analyze, and report test and evaluation data. Testing the computer software required to support integration between mission software and the ground system. Creation of technical documentation. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline explicitly related to computer architecture (advanced degree preferred), active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility, 2+ years of related professional experience, proficiency in testing Python scripting, good interpersonal and communication skills, understanding software testing principles and best practices, knowledge of software development lifecycles, good technical writing skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment. Desired skills include experience with Satellite Operations, TT&C systems, sustainment, or similar Space Ops experience, knowledge of Software Suite services, OpenC3 COSMOS, scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation, experience with version control software (Git), and Agile Software Development environment (Scrum). This position is part of the Federal Solutions team serving US government customers and requires an active Top Secret security clearance.
