General Construction Laborer

LOOKING TO IMMEDIATLY HIRE (PAY $20.00HR - $25.00HR Based On Experience)

Position Summary:

An ideal Skilled General Construction Worker (SGCW) candidate must have at least two years of experience in either residential or commercial construction or remodeling. The SGCW must also possess an in-depth knowledge of construction techniques and tools. SGCW will have the opportunity to learn and train with a licensed Florida Building Contractor. Experience with spray foam is highly desired.

Essential Job Functions:

• 
  Perform a variety of related construction (carpentry and repair duties) at various job sites as required.
• 
  Follow through on verbal and written orders as directed.
• 
  Demonstrate safe work habits and knowledge of safety rules and personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing job functions.
• 
  Ability to learn to operate spray foam equipment and apply it in various applications.
• 
  Perform construction functions such as assist with the building of a home or commercial building, repair/installation of cabinets, windows, glass, doors, locks, and plaster/drywall.
• 
  Perform interior and exterior painting, interior cleaning, and other landscaping duties as needed.
• 
  Perform general concrete work.
• 
  Maintain construction tools and equipment.
• 
  Operate equipment efficiently and safely, as well as keeping job sites clean and free of safety issues.
• 
  Ability to listen well and follow instructions closely.
• 
  Conduct basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance.
• 
  Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications:

• 
  High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability To Pass all Onboarding Requirements
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• 
  Prior experience in construction or home rehabilitation is preferred, but is not required.
• 
  Must have own hand tools.
• 
  Must have valid drivers license and insurance.
• 
  Must have reliable transportation to be able to report to constantly changing job sites.
• 
  Possess an average knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and mechanical systems is required.
• 
  Ability to perform constant physical labor, operate tools and machinery, and lift at least 80 lbs. is required.
• 
  Ability to work in wet, damp, hot, cold, or dusty places is required.
• 
  Ability to stoop or kneel in order to gain access to work areas is required.
• 
  Not be afraid of heights or confined spaces is required.
• 
  Ability to walk, climb and stand for long periods of time is required.
• 
  As an hourly employee, must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays or when directed for unusual occurrences (Example: hurricanes)

Salary:

• 
  Depending on qualifications, starting hourly rate will be between $20.00 and $25.00 an hour.
