Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Server/System Administrator with both strategic solutioning capabilities and deep hands-on technical expertise. This role is ideal for someone who can operate at a high level—thinking about infrastructure holistically—while also executing day-to-day tasks across a broad technology stack. You’ll be supporting a wide range of infrastructure responsibilities, similar to an Infrastructure Manager, and will be a key contributor to long-term projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure solutions.
  • Lead and support server administration, virtualization, storage, and cloud deployments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure scalability and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues across multiple platforms.
  • Manage and optimize Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and site replication.
  • Oversee Microsoft 365 migrations (Email, OneDrive, SharePoint).
  • Administer and maintain VMware environments and server hardware.
  • Support backup and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Provide documentation and process improvement recommendations.

Required Technical Skills

Candidates must demonstrate breadth and depth across the following technologies:

  • Virtualization & Storage: VMware, Nutanix, NetApp
  • Cloud Platforms: Azure and/or AWS
  • Microsoft Ecosystem: O365 (Email, SSO, Users, Groups, Enterprise Apps), Microsoft 365 migrations
  • Server & Directory Services: Windows Server Administration, Active Directory (ADUC, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Trusts, Site Replication), NTFS Permissions
  • Monitoring & File Transfer: SolarWinds NPM, ManageEngine SFTP
  • Remote Access & Virtualization: Citrix
  • Backup Solutions: Experience with server hardware and cloud-based backup strategies
  • MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK ON W2

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in solutioning and strategic infrastructure planning .
  • Demonstrated ability to work across a broad infrastructure landscape , not just specialized or project-specific roles.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate processes and decisions.
  • Experience leading or contributing to long-term infrastructure projects .
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

What We’re Not Looking For

To ensure alignment with the client’s expectations, candidates with the following profiles may not be a fit:

  • Narrow or project-specific experience without broader infrastructure exposure.
  • Roles focused primarily on end-user support, desktop support, or help desk.
  • Limited or outdated experience with key technologies like VMware, storage solutions, or cloud platforms.
  • Candidates who cannot clearly articulate their responsibilities or solutioning contributions.
  • Candidates through at third party
