Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Server/System Administrator with both strategic solutioning capabilities and deep hands-on technical expertise. This role is ideal for someone who can operate at a high level—thinking about infrastructure holistically—while also executing day-to-day tasks across a broad technology stack. You’ll be supporting a wide range of infrastructure responsibilities, similar to an Infrastructure Manager, and will be a key contributor to long-term projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure solutions.
- Lead and support server administration, virtualization, storage, and cloud deployments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure scalability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues across multiple platforms.
- Manage and optimize Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and site replication.
- Oversee Microsoft 365 migrations (Email, OneDrive, SharePoint).
- Administer and maintain VMware environments and server hardware.
- Support backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Provide documentation and process improvement recommendations.
Required Technical Skills
Candidates must demonstrate breadth and depth across the following technologies:
- Virtualization & Storage: VMware, Nutanix, NetApp
- Cloud Platforms: Azure and/or AWS
- Microsoft Ecosystem: O365 (Email, SSO, Users, Groups, Enterprise Apps), Microsoft 365 migrations
- Server & Directory Services: Windows Server Administration, Active Directory (ADUC, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Trusts, Site Replication), NTFS Permissions
- Monitoring & File Transfer: SolarWinds NPM, ManageEngine SFTP
- Remote Access & Virtualization: Citrix
- Backup Solutions: Experience with server hardware and cloud-based backup strategies
- MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK ON W2
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in solutioning and strategic infrastructure planning .
- Demonstrated ability to work across a broad infrastructure landscape , not just specialized or project-specific roles.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate processes and decisions.
- Experience leading or contributing to long-term infrastructure projects .
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
