Job Tittle :- Senior Backend Engineer Node.js & AWS
Role Summary
We are hiring for this role where the selected candidate will work on our client's project focused on building scalable backend systems in a modern cloud-native environment. If you enjoy building reliable APIs and working with AWS services, this might be for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and support RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js in a cloud-first setup.
- Design and implement event-driven architectures using Amazon SNS, SQS, and EventBridge.
- Integrate logging, monitoring, and tracing using tools like AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, Dynatrace, and Splunk.
- Automate builds and deployments using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and AWS CodePipeline.
- Improve backend performance, reliability, and cost efficiency through ongoing optimization.
- Maintain clear architectural documentation and API/service design specs.
- Write unit and integration tests using Jest or Mocha with mocking libraries.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong experience building APIs and backend logic with Node.js.
- Hands-on with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, IAM, KMS, and S3.
- Comfortable with observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, AWS X-Ray).
- Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub-based workflows.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Bonus if you've developed backend services with Java.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS Fargate.
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools like CloudFormation, Serverless Framework, or AWS CDK.
