Position Overview
The Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing safety protocols and practices on construction sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations and to promote a safe working environment for all employees. This role involves training staff, conducting safety audits, and collaborating with project managers to mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on construction sites
  • Provide safety training and orientation to new employees and ongoing training for existing staff
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure safety compliance in all phases of construction projects
  • Monitor and report on safety performance metrics and trends
  • Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies related to safety compliance

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Safety Manager in the construction industry
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards
  • OSHA 30-hour certification
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
