This Registered Nurse (RN) position in Rochester, New York requires a minimum of one year of experience and focuses on medical-surgical and telemetry nursing. The RN will provide direct patient care, collaborating with a supportive team including PCTs and a dedicated phlebotomy team. Floating between similar units within the scope of practice is expected. The facility is a short-term acute care teaching hospital.

Responsibilities:
- Providing skilled nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
- Administering medications and treatments.
- Performing patient assessments and charting in Epic.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Managing patient care in a fast-paced environment.
- Responding to patient needs and providing support for activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Performing or assisting with procedures such as PICC line and central line management (as applicable).
- Floating to similar units as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- Minimum of one year of hospital experience (first-timers accepted).
- BLS certification.
- Experience with telemetry monitoring.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Epic EMR system (preferred).
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with Epic EMR system.
Special Considerations:
- Telemetry experience required.
- Weekend work required every other weekend (EOW).
- No on-call requirements.
- Floating within the medical-surgical and telemetry units is required.
- No local candidates within a 75-mile radius.
- No pending licenses accepted.
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week.
Scheduling:
- Day and evening shifts available with typical ratios of 5:1 and 6:1 (occasionally up to 7 patients).
- The facility will try to accommodate block scheduling, but this is not guaranteed.
