Position Summary:
You’ll support the procurement team by identifying parts, coordinating shipments, working with sellers, and keeping our internal systems up to date. This role calls for someone who’s not afraid to ask tough questions, make strategic offers, and negotiate in a way that puts the company first. If you love researching, organizing, and finding ways to stretch a dollar — this is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
● Generate and manage vendor purchase orders
● Track and confirm the receipt of purchased items
● Research and enter prospective sellers into our procurement system
● Use platforms such as Car-Part.com to scout, price, and purchase necessary components
● Coordinate with local and regional managers to ensure battery shipments are received
● Respond to inbound calls from individuals or partners looking to donate or sell batteries
● Negotiate pricing with suppliers and sellers when appropriate
● Continuously look for new sourcing opportunities and ways to bring value to the procurement process
Qualifications:
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Excellent computer and data entry skills
● Comfortable with online research and comparing multiple sources
● Ability to negotiate effectively
● Highly adaptable to shifting priorities and purchasing demands
● Basic understanding of automotive parts is a plus
● Ability to work collaboratively and support a growing team
