Job SummaryThe Process Operator is responsible for supporting production operations to ensure the highest quality of products while maintaining food safety and employee safety as top priorities. This role requires attention to detail, speed, and accuracy in handling a variety of machines, product packaging, and production processes. The Process Operator works in a team environment where communication and collaboration are critical to meeting production goals.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor processing and packaging equipment in accordance with established procedures.
Place product (cups, sleeves, or other containers) into machines with speed and accuracy.
Inspect products for defects, including damaged containers, leaking/seeping product, or incorrect labeling.
Ensure labels are positioned and applied correctly per product specifications.
Set up and operate tape machines and other packaging equipment according to product requirements.
Conduct periodic equipment inspections, troubleshooting, adjustments, and cleaning to maintain operational efficiency.
Assist with packing, palletizing, inner packing, and master case handling.
Set up specialty stations (e.g., cinnamon station) and verify quality standards are met.
Follow all safety rules, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), and Food Safety guidelines, maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
Move pallets, load/unload materials, dump/cut product as needed.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to learn and operate computer programs as needed.
Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Forklift or chemical-handling certification (may be required).
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, climbing, reaching, and grasping.
Must be able to lift 25 lbs-50 lbs more regularly.
Ability to work in varying conditions (cold rooms at 40°ree;F, heat, humidity, spices, and meat ingredients).
Work in high-noise areas with required hearing protection.
Must have adequate vision (close, distance, peripheral, depth perception).
Ability to work multiple shifts, including nights and weekends if required.
