This locum tenens Cardiothoracic Surgeon opportunity in Southern California involves 7-10 call shifts per month with responsibilities including cardiac and thoracic surgeries such as CABG and valve replacements. The role supports new consults, cath lab, ER, and patient rounding in a large, fully equipped 463-bed hospital with a diverse patient population. Candidates must be board certified, licensed in California, and have at least 5 years of experience.
The Cardiothoracic Locum Tenens opportunity in southern California-Duration: Start in 90 days, and on-going-Shifts: 7-10 per month, call coverage only-Call: 7a-7a, rarely emergency cases-Cases: Cardiac and thoracic surgery cases as needed (CABG, AVR, MVR, Thoracotomy, Chest tube, ect.)-Scope: New consults, cath lab, ER and rounding-Support: 1 other Physician on during call shift during the week, 1 or 2 Pas are on call each day for round, OR assist, vein harvest-EMR: Cerner-Large Spanish and Russian speaking population-Hospital: Second largest heart program in southern, CA 463 bed facility-Facility: Fully equipped surgical suites for open heart, thoracic, and complex valve surgeries-Required: Board certified, California license, 5 years of experience
