Job Description
Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
VocoVision is partnering with school districts across California to provide high-quality virtual interpreting services to K12 students for the 20252026 academic year . This flexible, fully remote role allows you to work from home while ensuring deaf and hard-of-hearing students have full access to instruction and communication in the classroom.
Position Highlights:Deliver real-time virtual interpreting services during classroom instruction, therapy sessions, IEP meetings, and school-related activities
Facilitate clear communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers using American Sign Language (ASL)
Collaborate remotely with educators, special service providers, and IEP teams
Utilize VocoVisions secure teletherapy platform for seamless connectivity and service delivery
Receive ongoing support from a dedicated clinical and technical team
National certification (e.g., RID , NIC , or EIPA score of 3.5+ preferred)
California certification or authorization to provide interpreting services in schools
Minimum of 2 years experience in an educational setting preferred
Proficient in both ASL and English
Comfortable with technology and virtual tools (training provided)
Reliable computer, webcam, and high-speed internet
