Position Purpose: Designers support three primary store priorities: Customers First, In Stock, and Store Appearance. They provide fast, thorough, and friendly service by welcoming customers, assessing project needs, offering showroom tours, and assisting with measurements and design recommendations. Designers also manage stock levels of samples and brochures, and ensure displays and showrooms are appealing and safe. Their efforts drive sales and support store goals. Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities: Provide fast, friendly service by actively engaging with customers, greeting them, and asking questions to understand their needs. Describe product features and benefits, answer questions, and assist with special orders and installed sales. Follow up with customers as needed, demonstrating product knowledge and enthusiasm. Nature and Scope: Store environment may have temporary floor cracks, dust, noise, drafts, slippery floors, and exposure to hazardous materials and equipment. Environmental Job Requirements: Moderate physical discomfort from environmental factors such as dust, fumes, or odors. Travel: Less than 10% overnight travel required.
