General Job Description:
HVAC Installer will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain multi-family residential HVAC systems and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Installation of HVAC systems.
- Operating a variety of hand and power tools needed for HVAC installation.
- Following instructions for picking up and delivering parts, tools, materials, and supplied to and from the job site.
- Ensuring all tools, materials, and equipment are in good working condition.
- Assisting with preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and the associated equipment.
- Assisting with maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing plumbing and electrical systems.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in HVAC or other related fields
- Familiarity with HVAC required.
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Familiar with all tools and equipment necessary for HVAC installation and maintenance.
- Good communication skills.
- Trained in all aspects of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning installation.
Required qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years experience in HVAC installation.
Desired qualifications:
- Additional HVAC experience.
- EPA Certification.
- OSHA 10, 30
Essential Physical Functions: (These will vary based on position)
- Climbing: Ascending or descending stairs.
- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
- Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
- Subject to outside environmental conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat for extended periods of time.
