As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you’ll inspect, service, repair and maintain all types of equipment from small engines to heavy-duty equipment like our plow trucks, graders, and loaders – machinery that keep highways clear and infrastructure strong. Minimum Qualifications:
Approximately 3 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic which includes:
OR
Completion of Heavy Equipment Apprenticeship program or graduation from a two-year Heavy Equipment Mechanic or related training program that included:
AND
Licenses: Minimum of a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Permit with the ability to obtain a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement and no air brake restriction within 6 months of hire.
Certifications: Valid Commercial Vehicle Inspectors Certificate within 12 months of hire.
Misc: Mechanic must supply standard list of personal hand tools
