Global Insights Lead, Hematology (Associate Director)

Join us as the Global Insights Lead, Gastroenterology and Inflammatory Disorders at the Associate Director level in our Cambridge, MA office supporting TAK-755 (a recombinant ADAMTS13 protein treatment for Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura) and TAK-079 (an anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody treatment for Immune thrombocytopenia).

The Global Product & Launch Strategy (GPLS) group at Takeda is responsible for unlocking the full potential of Takedas pipeline and global brands by building product strategies that bring transformative benefits to the lives of patients across many therapeutic areas. GPLS will support high-impact transformative lifecycle initiatives to maximize the impact of pipeline assets and extend the reach of key global brands. The teams remit is to deliver effective global product strategies and ensure Takeda achieves its long-term goals for our global brands.

The Global Insights Lead is a key strategic thought partner to the Product Strategy Leaders (PSL) and Global Commercial Teams (GCTs) for TAK-755 and TAK-079, driving key insight generation activities to prepare these late-stage assets for commercialization. You will be accountable for ensuring we have a deep understanding of the markets, stakeholders, competitors, and that we are poised to succeed on behalf of patients. Position Objectives:



  1. Act as a trusted advisor to the TAK-755 and TAK-079 Product Strategy Leaders and the Global Commercial Teams, helping to catalyze robust decision-making as the team prepares for late-stage commercialization of TAK-755 and TAK-079.

    • Note: TAK-079 is also being investigated as a treatment for IgA nephropathy and for chronic Antibody Mediated Rejection in transplant patients. While there will be opportunities to partner with insights teams supporting these indications, the focus of this role is Immune thrombocytopenia for TAK-079.


  2. Successfully design and execute strategic insight projects via primary and secondary market research, competitive intelligence, and analytics that deliver high-quality, objective insights to support decision making.

Accountabilities:



  • Lead the design and execution of market research (primary/secondary), competitive intelligence, and data-analytics projects that deliver actionable business insights.

  • Act as a strategic partner to PSL, GCT, GPT, and cross-functional teams including Regional and Local commercial colleagues, articulating the what, the so what, and what next from insights projects.

  • Leverage your pipeline and launch experience to contribute to the development of commercialization strategies supporting pipeline and new product readiness.

  • Partner effectively with internal teams (Global Pricing & Access, Patient Advocacy, Regional & Local Insight teams, TAUs, etc.) to deliver a comprehensive understanding of key markets and trends.

  • Collaborate with US and regional colleagues to ensure alignment of global and regional activities.

  • Seek and implement innovative approaches to insight generation to deepen understanding of markets, competitors, and stakeholders, shaping product development and commercialization.

  • Adhere to all policies and procedures related to Global Insights and Competitive Intelligence.

Education, Behavioral Competencies, and Skills:


Required:


  • BA/BS degree

  • 10-12 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry

  • Proven success in a matrix environment delivering results in market research, competitive intelligence, analytics, or forecasting

  • Effective team player with influencing skills in cross-functional settings

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

  • Expertise in one or more disciplines: competitive intelligence, market research, forecasting, or product analytics

  • Experience with pipeline and pre-launch brands in pharma from a commercial or insights perspective

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

Desired:


  • MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • Experience in global markets preferred

  • Subject matter expertise in multiple disciplines

  • Industry knowledge of the pharmaceutical sector

  • Therapeutic knowledge of rare or hematologic diseases is a plus

  • Understanding of pharmaceutical marketing techniques

Compensation and Benefits:


U.S. salary range: $153,600 - $241,340, with benefits including health insurance, 401(k), disability coverage, and more. Compensation depends on experience, education, and location.
