Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Front of House & Bar Manager to oversee daily restaurant and bar operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and lead a motivated, service-focused team. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a hands-on approach to maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests while driving operational efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Front of House Management
Oversee daily FOH operations, including host/hostess, servers, bussers, and bar staff.
Ensure smooth service flow, guest satisfaction, and adherence to service standards.
Manage floor plans, reservations, and table turns for maximum efficiency.
Train, coach, and evaluate FOH team members to uphold company standards.
Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dining environment.
Bar Management
Oversee bar operations, inventory, ordering, and product quality.
Maintain compliance with liquor laws, health and safety regulations, and internal policies.
Create and update beverage menus, including cocktails, beer, and wine selections.
Train bartenders on recipes, pouring standards, and responsible service practices.
Monitor bar costs and implement strategies to reduce waste and control expenses.
Administrative & Leadership Duties
Create and manage staff schedules for FOH and bar teams.
Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and feedback.
Track and report on sales, labor costs, and other KPIs to management.
Collaborate with the kitchen and event teams to ensure seamless service for regular dining and special events.
Handle hiring, onboarding, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in restaurant or bar management (combined FOH and bar preferred).
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution, and multitasking abilities.
Knowledge of bar operations, beverage trends, and service standards.
Familiarity with POS systems, scheduling software, and basic reporting.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Current Food Handler’s Certification and Responsible Beverage Service certification (or ability to obtain).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
