We are located in the Bath Beach section of Brooklyn. Our main focus is to educate and ensure the well-being of our students. We are looking for a responsible Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. The duties of the Administrative Assistant include providing support to our managers and employees, assisting with daily office needs and managing our company’s general administrative activities. The position is from 7:30am - 3:30pm, M-F. Block Institute provides a supportive atmosphere in which you will gain experience and knowledge to enhance your career path. Established in 1962, Block Institute has extensive experience providing individualized services for children and adults with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities Related Services Management Manage the Related Services Clinical Mandate Sheet to ensure compliance with established guidelines. Maintain and oversee related services caseloads, ensuring appropriate service delivery for each student. Conduct attendance audits and maintain accurate attendance sheets for related services. Process and facilitate Assistive Technology (AT) device referrals for eligible students. Coordinate supplemental evaluation referrals to ensure timely assessments. Prepare and distribute Easytrac reports on a monthly basis to track service delivery and effectiveness. CPSE District Liaison Duties Prepare and submit the annual report for related services, documenting outcomes and effectiveness. Schedule annual meetings with stakeholders, including families and service providers, to discuss student progress. Update and distribute Individualized Education Program (IEP) documents to ensure all stakeholders have the latest information. Submit IEP Extension requests as necessary, ensuring compliance with regulatory timelines. Compile and distribute First Attend Date (FAD) reports to track student service initiation. General Office Tasks Manage record requests efficiently, ensuring timely responses to inquiries. Prepare and issue enrollment verification letters as required by families and agencies. Distribute transportation lists to relevant personnel, ensuring that students' transportation needs are met. Qualifications And Skills Bachelor's degree in education, Special Education, Social Work, or a related field preferred. Minimum of two years administrative support experience in an academic setting. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in using office software and managing documentation, Excel, TEAMS etc. Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and external agencies.
