Job Description
Correctional officers ensure the care, custody, and control of inmates in accordance with HACTC policy, State, and Federal law. Officers maintain safety & security within the correctional setting while conducting tasks specific to each officer post. Officers conduct housing rounds, inmate count, book & release individuals, complete searches of both areas and individual's. Officer's serve meals and move inmates throughout the facility. Officer's are required to interact with the inmate population in a professional, respectful, manner while maintaining appropriate boundaries. The ideal candidate is punctual, observant, disciplined, and capable of handling potentially stressful or dangerous situations with professionalism.
