Responsibilities and practice
The Pittsburgh office of Dentons Cohen & Grigsby is seeking a Corporate transactional associate with excellent corporate experience and strong academic credentials to join our sophisticated and highly regarded Corporate practice that offers a dynamic and positive work culture that values professionalism and encourages continued learning. The person hired for this position will be part of a dedicated team and will support the practice by assuming such responsibilities as:
- Managing client relationships and a broad array of corporate and transactional matters
- Drafting and negotiating key commercial agreements, transaction documents and ancillary agreements
- Conducting or managing M&A transactions, including diligence reviews, coordinating general transaction management matters and closings, with the help of other associates or team members
- Supporting the practice by performing general research and writing as needed

Personal skills/attributes
- Is conscientious and responsive, with a proven attention to detail and a desire to work in a dynamic practice environment and manage multiple projects with time sensitive deadlines
- Has excellent written communication and drafting skills and an ability to produce written work product that is concise and effective

Technical skills
- 3-5 years of corporate transactional legal experience is required
- Experience drafting key legal documents for corporate matters is required
- Holds a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
Other requirements
- Would ideally be licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and be in good standing
