Job Description
Key Responsibilities: Supervise and actively engage with students to ensure their safety and well-being at all times. Implement and lead age-appropriate activities, including games, arts and crafts, sports, and group projects. Assist students with homework and encourage positive study habits. Foster an inclusive, respectful, and supportive environment for all children. Promote positive behavior and help students resolve conflicts using appropriate strategies. Ensure program spaces are clean, organized, and safe before, during, and after activities. Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and school personnel as needed. Support the Site Coordinator with daily program operations and follow established schedules. Adhere to all school, district, and program policies, including health and safety protocols.Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in education, child development, recreation, or a related field preferred. Experience working with children in a school, camp, childcare, or recreational setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to lead activities and manage groups of children. First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain). Reliable, responsible, and enthusiastic about working with children.Work Hours: Morning shift: Before school program hours 6:30am-10:30am Afternoon shift: After school program hours 2pm-6:30pm Flexible scheduling may be available.Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and engage in active play with children. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
